Hello team. My name is Shivathmaj. I am a professional video editor and thumbnail designer and I work mainly with Premiere Pro After Effects and Adobe Photoshop. I spend a lot of time studying YouTube thumbnails from business and podcast channels so I understand what makes people stop scrolling and click. I completed the mini assignment and created two thumbnail options. My goal was to make the idea instantly clear even at a small thumbnail size and trigger curiosity around the income numbers from a dhaba business.
My thinking was simple. The strongest hook in this episode is the income from a dhaba franchise. People click when they see a surprising money number connected to a normal business. So I made the money number the main focus of the thumbnail. The text is large simple and easy to read on mobile. I avoided too many words and focused on the core curiosity. Kawaljeet Singh is clearly visible because the credibility of the story comes from him. I also kept the hosts visible because returning viewers recognize them and it builds familiarity. The dhaba location and cars in the background give quick context and show that this is a real physical business. I used strong color contrast so the number stands out in the feed.
In option one I used the line 1L to 20L per month. This creates curiosity because viewers want to know why the income range is so big and what determines the profit. In option two I used 19 lakh per month. A specific number feels more believable and shocking which increases curiosity and makes people want to click and understand how a dhaba can make that much money. I believe this approach performs better because the previous thumbnail focuses more on faces while my version focuses on the business result which is the money. The number is bigger clearer and easier to understand within one second which is critical for improving click through rate on YouTube.
