World's Most Profitable Companies 2026: Who Actually Hires From India

I researched the 30 most profitable companies in the world in 2026. Then I looked at how many do recruit from India.

I'm Riten, founder of Fueler. I spend my days talking to job seekers, freelancers, and hiring managers. So when a new list of the world’s 30 most profitable companies of 2026 began to circulate, I didn’t just look at the numbers. I saw what most people don't see. I was interested in knowing how many of these companies actually hire in India. I was surprised at the answer. Let me take you through it.

30 Most Profitable Companies In The World 2026

The list is broken down into two large groups. US companies earned a combined 1.0 trillion dollars in profit. The rest of the world’s companies made 605 billion dollars combined.

Here are the top US names and their annual profits:

  • Alphabet (Google): 160 billion dollars
  • Microsoft: 125 billion dollars
  • Apple: 123 billion dollars
  • Nvidia: 120 billion dollars
  • Amazon: 91 billion dollars
  • Berkshire Hathaway: 72 billion dollars
  • Meta: 71 billion dollars
  • JPMorgan Chase: 59 billion dollars
  • Bank of America: 32 billion dollars
  • ExxonMobil: 25 billion dollars
  • Eli Lilly: 25 billion dollars
  • Broadcom: 25 billion dollars
  • Micron: 24 billion dollars
  • Visa: 22 billion dollars
  • Walmart: 22 billion dollars
  • Wells Fargo: 22 billion dollars

Five of these companies earned more in a single year than the GDP of most countries. That’s not a small thing to say, out loud. If you need to, read it again.

Now look at the rest of the world:

  • Saudi Aramco: 99 billion dollars
  • TSMC: 62 billion dollars
  • Samsung: 58 billion dollars
  • SK hynix: 53 billion dollars
  • ICBC: 51 billion dollars
  • China Construction Bank: 48 billion dollars
  • Agricultural Bank of China: 39 billion dollars
  • Bank of China: 35 billion dollars
  • SoftBank: 33 billion dollars
  • Tencent: 33 billion dollars
  • Toyota: 26 billion dollars
  • PetroChina: 22 billion dollars
  • China Life: 22 billion dollars
  • SNB (Swiss National Bank): 24 billion dollars

Numbers are impressive. But here’s the thing no one was answering.

The Question No One Asks: How Does a Normal Person Get Hired Here?

Not with a good-looking resume. Not with a fancy college name. Not by knowing the right person. These companies receive lakhs of applications every year. A recruiter glances over each resume for a few seconds and then throws it aside. A skills list on a page is not enough anymore. Everyone has the same skills on their list.

What actually works today is proof. Not words about what you can do. Actual work that shows what you can do.

This is something I talk about a lot on the Fueler blog, particularly in my post about portfolio platforms recruiters actually check in 2026. Recruiters are tired of reading claims these days. They want to click on something that is real.

Which of these companies actually recruit from India?

This is where it gets very specific. Not all 30 companies recruit in India. Some only impact India indirectly through trade or supply chains, not through local jobs. Let me make this clear.

Companies With Big India Hiring (Global Capability Centers)

Microsoft. Cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida. Skills needed: cloud computing on Azure, AI and machine learning, software engineering, cybersecurity.

Google (Alphabet). Cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram. Skills needed: software engineering, AI, product management, UX design.

Amazon. Cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai. Skills needed: software development, AWS cloud, data engineering, and supply chain technology.

Apple. Cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad. Skills needed: hardware engineering, chip design, iOS development.

Meta. Cities: Gurugram, Mumbai. Skills needed: AI research, ads engineering, and data science.

Nvidia. Cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai. Skills needed: GPU architecture, AI infrastructure, chip design.

JPMorgan Chase. Cities: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad. Skills needed: fintech engineering, risk analytics, quant finance.

Bank of America. Cities: Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram. Skills needed: software engineering, financial analytics.

Walmart. Cities: Bengaluru, Chennai. Skills needed: supply chain technology, e-commerce engineering, data science.

Visa. City: Bengaluru. Skills needed: payments technology, fraud detection.

Samsung. Cities: Bengaluru, Noida. Skills needed: mobile R&D, semiconductor design, AI.

Companies With Almost No Direct India Hiring

Saudi Aramco, TSMC, ICBC, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Tencent, PetroChina, SK hynix, and SNB mostly connect to India through trade or supply chains. They do not hire local talent in India at any meaningful scale.

The Pattern Is Simple

The companies hiring most from India are the ones building software, cloud platforms, AI tools and finance products for the world. Not the guys drilling oil or making hardware in a closed factory somewhere. If you want to work for any of these companies, here’s the truth. Don’t just learn how to do it. Show me.

  • A GitHub project that actually runs
  • A case study with real numbers
  • A portfolio with your real projects
  • A dashboard you built from scratch
  • A marketing campaign you actually ran and measured

That is what makes you different now. Your evidence of work is your strongest CV. This is exactly the philosophy I founded Fueler on and why I constantly pushing people toward career portfolios that really obtain jobs instead of another PDF resume.

Why Proof of Work Matters More Than Ever in 2026

This is what I have noticed while running Fueler. It's easy to appear knowledgeable when you're not, thanks to AI tools like Midjourney and coding assistants and even tools like Chatbot. Anyone can churn out a pretty design or a functional bit of code in minutes. This has created a trust problem for the recruiters. When anyone can make something that looks good, how do you know who really knows their work? That’s why I added two new things on Fueler that I think every knowledge worker needs in 2026.

The AI Stack Feature

Now AI is in almost every job, so you can't hide it anymore. That’s what being honest about it does. Now on Fueler you can add an AI Stack section on your profile where you tell exactly which AI tools you used on a project, what you did manually, and how you reviewed or improved the AI output. This one small change builds a lot of trust with recruiters. It tells them that you know how to work with AI responsibly, not just copy paste from a chatbot. I go into this whole setup in detail in my post on how to add an AI stack to your portfolio, and I really think every generalist, developer, designer, and marketer should be doing this now.

What This Means for You

If you are a student, a recent graduate, or someone changing careers who dreams of working at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, or any of these big companies, here is my honest advice. Stop spending all your energy on perfecting your resume font. Start creating real proof of your skills. Choose one project and complete it. Document your process and show your thinking, not just the final result.

I have seen this repeatedly with people using Fueler. Those who display their actual work, rather than just listing their skills, are the ones who get noticed. If you are still comparing different tools to create this type of portfolio, I have written a straightforward comparison of portfolio website builders for designers and developers that might help you decide.

Final Thought

The world’s 30 most profitable companies made a lot of money in 2026. However, high profits do not guarantee opportunities for everyone. You need to know which companies are hiring in India, what skills they seek, and how to demonstrate that you possess those skills.

Don’t just learn. Show. Don’t just claim. Prove.

This is the change taking place in hiring, and those who adjust quickly will be the ones who succeed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which companies from the list of world's most profitable companies 2026 hire in India? Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), Amazon, Apple, Meta, Nvidia, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Walmart, Visa, and Samsung all have active hiring centers in India, mainly in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Noida, Gurugram, and Pune.

What skills do top companies like Google and Microsoft look for in India? They mostly look for software engineering, cloud computing, AI and machine learning, product management, UX design, data engineering, and cybersecurity skills, along with real proof of work like projects or case studies.

How can I get hired at a top MNC without a big college degree? Build a strong portfolio of real projects, contribute to GitHub, create case studies of your work, and show proof instead of just listing skills on a resume. Recruiters today respond faster to real proof of work than to degrees alone.

An AI Stack is a section in your portfolio where you explain which AI tools you used in a project, what parts you did manually, and how you reviewed the AI generated output. Why do companies like Saudi Aramco or TSMC not hire much from India?
