UX Design & AR Exploration for a Car Rental Website

This is a design project for a conceptual car rental website focused on improving how users explore vehicles online. The project investigates how Augmented Reality (AR) can be integrated into a traditional web interface to enhance the interactivity with the product and its spatial understanding.

The design centers on a structured landing experience and a detailed product page where users can scan and view a 3D vehicle model in their real-world environment. This exploration examines how emerging interaction methods can be layered into familiar UX patterns without disrupting usability.

Key Skills:

  1. UX & UI Design: Designed a clean, minimal website layout with clear visual hierarchy, structured navigation, and scannable vehicle listing components to support intuitive browsing.

  2. Interaction Design: Identified the product evaluation stage as a meaningful point to introduce deeper interaction, ensuring AR functionality enhanced user understanding.

  3. Prototyping (Figma): Built interactive prototypes and walkthrough simulations to communicate interface logic, transitions, and immersive interaction touchpoints.

  4. 3D Motion Integration: Used subtle animated 3D elements (via Spline) to reinforce futuristic orientation and add visual engagement without overwhelming the interface.

  5. AR-Integration: Explored how users can engage with vehicle models beyond static imagery by scanning and visualizing 3D content in physical space.

This project reflects an early exploration into how augmented reality can extend traditional web product experiences. Personally, I enjoyed experimenting with emerging interaction patterns such as preliminary Spatial UI Designs, while maintaining clarity, usability, and structured thinking.
