Portfolio vs Resume: Why Recruiters Trust Proof of Work More

Objective:

The goal of this project was to explain why recruiters increasingly prefer portfolios over traditional resumes and how proof of work helps candidates stand out in modern hiring.

 

What I did:

I researched current hiring trends, studied Fueler’s content style, and wrote a detailed article comparing resumes and portfolios. The article explains recruiter psychology, limitations of resumes, and how real work examples help companies make better hiring decisions.

 

Tools Used:

- ChatGPT (for research support and outlining)

- Manual editing for clarity and human tone

- Medium for publishing

- Canva for article cover design

 

Time Taken:

Approximately 4–5 hours including research, writing, editing, and publishing.

₹3,000 – ₹5,000 for a 1000-word article.
