For my minor project at MyCaptain’s Digital Marketing Pro Course, I conducted a comprehensive Instagram audit and developed a detailed social media action plan for the beauty brand Kay Beauty. Over a span of 4 to 5 hours, I evaluated the brand’s content strategy, visual aesthetics, engagement metrics, top-performing hashtags, competitor analysis (focused on brands like Nykaa Cosmetics and Sugar Cosmetics), as well as Kay Beauty’s strengths and areas for improvement. Using these insights, I created a structured, week-by-week content plan featuring campaign themes, influencer collaboration ideas, user-generated content strategies, and audience engagement tactics aimed at enhancing brand visibility, relatability, and community connection on Instagram. This hands-on project allowed me to apply research and planning tools such as Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Quillbot, while gaining practical experience in social media strategy, content ideation, and digital brand building.
