Adoption of ChatGPT's Voice Input Feature - PRD

This project focused on increasing the adoption of ChatGPT’s voice input feature by identifying why high-intent users rarely use it despite being aware of it. Over the course of about 1–2 weeks, I conducted user research, including surveys and behavioral analysis, to uncover key barriers such as social discomfort, privacy concerns, and perceived inaccuracy. This was an independent product case study, where I defined problem statements, target users, success metrics, and prioritized solutions using structured frameworks like RICE scoring.

I designed solution concepts such as Voice Drafts, Whisper Mode, and Auto-Detect nudges, created user flows, wireframes, and an experimentation plan for A/B testing adoption impact. Tools used included PowerPoint for documentation, research analysis methods, product frameworks, and wireframing tools. If built commercially, a similar product strategy and design project would typically be priced based on scope, research depth, and prototyping complexity.
