The objective of this project was to conduct a product teardown of Gumloop, an AI-powered no-code workflow automation platform, to evaluate the effectiveness of its onboarding experience and identify opportunities to improve user activation and retention. The project involved analyzing the end-to-end user journey, mapping key onboarding steps, identifying friction points, and studying the product’s growth mechanics such as prompts, guidance patterns, and feature discovery flows. I applied product thinking frameworks, UX analysis, and activation metrics to propose data-backed recommendations aimed at reducing drop-offs and improving first-time user success. This was an independent product case study completed to strengthen my skills in product teardown, user journey analysis, and growth strategy.
